Up first, the kids aren't having babies anymore. What's up with that?
Boomers vs. Doomers
Forty years ago, the one-hit wonder, Timbuk 3 harmonized, “the future’s so bright, I’ve gotta wear shades.” In the four decades since, the long-run trends in consumer sentiment cast a decidedly darker outlook. Consumer sentiment measures Americans’ views on their economic future, and it’s been getting consistently more dire over time. When that demoralization becomes ingrained in a generation’s psyche, “eat and drink, tomorrow we die” becomes more than a slogan; it becomes a way of life.
One of the institutions most dramatically undermined by this persistent gloom is the family. Of course, family formation and fertility choices are extremely complex. However, recent scholarship from Clara Piano and Christos Makridis has zeroed in on the role that collective pessimism has played in marriage delays and falling fertility... they’ve shown that there’s a robust link between economic pessimism and tying the knot.
Clearly, there are many causes of young people’s pessimism. One leading category that researchers have identified is uncertainty surrounding what comes next in life planning. Depression and anxiety are being driven by the elevated insecurity about educational outcomes, job prospects, and apprehension about mental and physical health amid a corrupted food and drug system.
This growing cynicism, I’ve argued elsewhere, reflects the demoralization of an “inflation culture” that breeds pessimism about the long-term, which in turn naturally disincentivizes the lifelong commitments. If young people believe that it will be increasingly difficult to sustain a marriage and provide for children, they will tend to emphasize short-term pleasure over the long-term responsibility that marriage vows entail.
This raises the question of whether these projections for impending doom are accurate and if the pessimism that is cloaking the young is warranted. Some think not, while others have dismissed futurist optimism as head-in-the-sand naivete.
Inflation is a blindspot for rightwing culture warriors. It is also expropriation, where the left ignores it too.
Talk about a Bankers Paradise!
We hit hard against inflation here at Stateless. Inflation destroys families and shatters culture.
I'd also add that it is foolish to attemt to psychologize the economy. It doesn’t run on moods or animal spirits. Pessimism can be as forward looking as optimism.
Sorry, but The Secret... is just new age bullshit.
Occult propaganda.
To be unsurprised and prepared is positive, if you ask me... but society calls you a doomer instead. You're supposed to be positive, which means, basically, have blind faith in whatever is going on right now.
Be real. It'll take you farther.
Think about it. No matter how "positive" you are, a shit sandwich still tastes like shit. Every. Single. Time.
Like voting Republican and Democrat.
Republicans and Democrats Are Not the Root Cause of Big Spending and Big Debt
...If only American voters would put those fiscally responsible Republicans in charge of both houses of Congress and the presidency, we were repeatedly told, fiscal responsibility would return to the federal government.
What a bunch of hooey. As we learn time and time again, when it comes to big spending and big debt, the Republicans are just as bad as Democrats, if not worse. During President Trump’s first term in office, when Republicans also controlled both houses of Congress, the federal debt increased by almost $8 trillion. That’s trillion, with a “t.”
As we have seen ever since America was converted to a welfare state and a national-security state, welfare and warfare are extremely expensive. The same goes for the regulated-managed economy way of life, the never-ending drug war, the massive immigration police state, and foreign aid. It is all very expensive.
The pipe dream of statists, of course, is that it’s possible to make this statist system fiscally sound. Good luck with that! If they haven’t made it fiscally sound after almost 100 years, what are the chances that they’ll make it so today?
This is where the soul-searching has to take place among the American people. Do Americans want to continue this statist way of life that is leading them to the destruction of their freedom and economic well-being? Or do they want to put America back on the right road — the road built on our nation’s sound founding principles of the free market, voluntary charity, and a limited-government republic — the road to peace, prosperity, and harmony — and, yes, the road to fiscal responsibility?
Two wings.
Same bird of prey.
Don't tell nobody. But the new world order isn't just a conspiracy theory... It's real, and it's coming your way!
The Globalist Threat
The people of Hungary did not vote directly for Viktor Orbán. Instead, Hungary operates under a parliamentary system, in which the Prime Minister is elected by Parliament. The President of the European Commission is NOT directly elected by EU citizens in a parliamentary election. The process is a two-step one where the leaders of the member states select a candidate, and then the European Parliament votes to elect them. They are NOT an elected member of Parliament. Viktor Orbán was elected to a seat.
The Ursula Von der Leyen directed the European Union to take sides in the Hungarian election and to undermine Orban, who asserted national priorities in disputes with the EU. The EU Commission rigged the Italian elections staging a coup against Berlusconi in Italy because he too opposed centralized control... Even the Scottish Independence vote in 2014 was rigged, The people sent in to count the votes were from the EU.
Amazingly, Ursula has flipped everything upside-down. She insists that the EU will now become a dictatorial regime no longer concerned about member state sovereignty. She has publicly stated: “Moving to qualified majority voting in foreign policy is an important way to avoid systemic blockages, as we have seen in the past.”
I have warned that centralized governments are the very reason empires, nations, and city-states have collapsed throughout history. The EU is following the same pattern, and this deliberate rigging of the Hungarian election demonstrates that it is Ursula who seeks dictatorial power – not Orban. Ursula is not just terminating national sovereignty; she is calling for a single European military command, completing a major globalist goal.
The world is under threat from this globalist agenda of ultimate power. We must take this seriously, for this is the threat of a global governance system of a one-world government posed in the backrooms and hallways from the WEF to the corridors of the EU, seeking to now infect passageways within Washington and Capitol Hill as well.
The EU is a fascist operation. Same with China. Same with the United States.
Thus, endless psyops...
Mr. CIA COVID ‘Whistleblower’ Goes to Washington
“Never trust a spook on the witness stand,” my Midwestern Irish-Catholic grandmammy once counseled me as we watched together, me a babbling little mess of a toddler, National Security Council underling Oliver North lie for the intelligence establishment before Congress way back in the day.
The TL;DR, which active CIA agent and COVID “whistleblower” James Erdman III testified...
Towards the end of his testimony, CIA asset James Erdman III admonishes the public that the scientists who lied about COVID origins for grant money didn’t take bribes for doing the Deep State’s dirty work; they actually, according to the CIA asset under oath, received “bonuses” as part of their “exceptional performance award” in relation to lying about COVID origins.
The real question: How could an active CIA agent “blow the whistle” on the agency he works for all of his own volition?
It makes no sense, unless you understand what happened yesterday as a psy-op.
A spook currently on payroll at CIA went down to Congress and did what he was trained to do; lie with a straight face to all of the rubes the agency he works for holds in contempt.
Who is this slop meant to satiate?
The Epstein class owns the media and the NGOs. This is what politicians mean when they say "Our Democracy".
THEIRS not yours.
The head of NPR & Wikipedia is also CFR, NATO, & CIA affiliated.
Katherine Maher is the head of America’s National Public Radio, which is the largest-audience radio news source in the U.S., and she was so when Donald Trump and his congressional Republicans ended taxpayer support of NPR on 15 August 2025. On 16 April 2026, NPR headlined “NPR receives $113 million in charitable gifts”, and reported that the wife of Microsoft co-founder Steve Ballmer had donated $80 million, and an anonymous other person had donated $33 million.
Almost all of the rest of radio news in America is owned by Republican Party billionaires, and propagandizes to Republican listeners.
The Atlantic Council’s largest individual donor has probably been Adrienne Arsht, a centi-millionaire lawyer, whose deceased husband, Myer Feldman, had also been a lawyer, and he had been a member of Israel’s Deep State, as well as a counselor to America’s first solidly Zionist President, Lyndon Johnson.
As for the CIA-edited and written Wikipedia (which blacklists — blocks from linking to — sites that aren’t CIA-approved), Maher explained herself in a 28 June 2022 “TED Talk,” titled “What Wikipedia Teaches Us About Balancing Truth and Beliefs | Katherine Maher | TED”.
It’s a small circle at the top of the propaganda-operation for the U.S. empire, and Katherine Maher is definitely in it.
Have you ever noticed that all of those ‘non-profit’ (or ‘charity’) organizations pump each other and pump for the same U.S. foreign policies? These are the policies of the U.S.-and-allied Deep State, America’s billionaires, in BOTH Parties, who fund those organizations in order to keep the U.S.-and-allied public deceived in the ways that benefit those funders... But instead the public are deceived by billionaires to believe that billionaire-funded ‘charities’ are institutions “for the benefit of the public,” So, why, then, aren’t they funded instead only by taxpayer dollars and answerable only to the public, not to any billionaires? Maybe it’s because the public have been successfully deceived about these organizations.
The bourgeoisie built, bought, marketed and paid for the proletariat revolution. They convinced the poor and middle-class not to own property, while at the same time, accumulating and hoarding it for themselves.
But hey, this election I tell ya... this time, it's gonna work.
Cruising Toward Enslavement
[M]y RAV4 rental represented a vanguard of the new smart cars designed to do one thing, and one thing only. It is not to make us safer. How does a chip that stops your car in the middle of a highway do that? A dashboard screen that distracts the driver with enough bling to make a neon-lit Times Square billboard blush—how does that make us safer? Safety is not the agenda; it rarely is anymore. No, the purpose is to seduce us into surrendering our agency, our autonomy.
This anecdote coalesces with other contemporary phenomena that prompt us to jettison self-governance because of convenience, time savings, submission to authority, laziness, and/or fear: reliance on electronics to tell us where to go (GPS), what to think (AI, Siri, Alexa), how to count (calculators), how we function (wearables). We need only to lift a finger—literally—to have our smartphones tell us anything we wish to know.
Our culture does not exempt children from this enforced dependence. Instead of allowing them to improvise their own leisure time with friends and activities of their choosing, we enslave them with scheduled playdates and rules under the panopticon surveillance of helicopter parents. Not to mention that fraudulent enterprise known as public education—indoctrination camps led by group-thinking mediocrities who discourage creative, autonomous thought while teaching to the test; graduates leave their years of such educational struggle sessions knowing only what they are supposed to think, perfect candidates to “drive,” or rather be driven by 2026 RAV4 hybrids.
We find autonomy to have obsolesced in my profession, medicine, as well. The notion of the independent practitioner who alone decides what is best for patients seems as quaint as mutton chop whiskers. Today’s MDs have surrendered control over clinical decisions to the guidelines of corporate bosses, administrative boards, and electronic health records.
Given these trends, is it any wonder that we have submitted to an incremental government takeover of our daily lives, have acquiesced to the increasingly open contempt and abuse that political grifters heap upon us? And why shouldn’t they? Who is going to stop them? Surely not the masked zombies who lined up for death shots like good little boys and girls during the Covid hysteria.
We're in trouble.
Am I being too negative?
