Two things are happening right now that are not just unusual but unprecedented. Are they related?
The first is what seems to be Trump’s deliberate wrecking of his support via his bizarre and unwelcome actions of late – including his weird fixation on conquering Greenland and baring his sore-gummed teeth at the Norwegian leader because Norway – which is from where the Nobel Peace Prize emanates – has not seen fit to award him one. It is the behavior – in public – of either a petulant child or an old man who is losing control of his inner monologue.
Those who’ve dealt with family members afflicted by dementia/Alzheimers disease are familiar with such outbursts.
Far worse, though, is the grotesque police state Kabuki – if only it were just for show – that is playing out in Minneapolis and elsewhere, too. Worse than the Kabuki being the two public executions that have been carried out and defended by Trump and his minions. The latest being completely indefensible, including politically. Trump could have tried to tamp things down. He could have at least expressed regret that two Americans have been killed in situations that ought never to have developed. Catching illegals is one thing. What’s going on is another thing. While there are legitimate differences of opinion regarding immigration, there is increasingly common opinion that what’s going on is not the right way to handle the illegal problem. Every poll shows this. Probably every private conversation people reading are having with friends and family reveals it.
The whole mess is so obviously gratuitous; so obviously unnecessary.
Is the man stupid? Or is he something far worse?
Far worse is indicated – because it is almost not possible to imagine anyone not actually deranged behaving as Trump has, because it is becoming obvious that it is politically suicidal. It is likely that if the midterms were held right now, Republicans would lose control of Congress – which would mean Trump becomes effectively a political gimp for the remainder of his second term. If things continue in the current direction, by the time we actually get to the midterms, it is likely the Republicans will be blown out of the water like one of those Venezuelan boats the president gloated about blowing up a few weeks back. Then he will be removed from office and perhaps even arrested and jailed.
You know, like he ought to have done to Fauci and Bourla but never did.
Does he not see? Or does he not care? Perhaps the plan is to foment such discord that he can declare martial law, cancel the midterms and become President for Life, like Idi Amin (for those who remember the Ugandan dictator of the ’70s).
This may be why silver just bounded to $113 per ounce (according to the latest reports). Gold is at $5,000 per ounce. These figures are posted early in the morning (Jan. 27). By tomorrow morning, they could easily be outdated. Silver might be $120 and gold might be over $5,000.
This is happy news for those who possess silver and gold but it is also extremely weird and unsettling news, too – because it suggests there is something hugely wrong with the financial system, the dollar in particular. Precious metals can be seen as an honest measure of the value – the buying power – of the dollar and that value is plummeting in relation to the value of gold and silver.
How much higher can they go? It feels like something has got to give. Maybe it is going to be the dollar. Maybe the plan is to crash it – in order to create the pretext/need to replace it. Much the same as flooding the country with 10 million (or was it 20 million) random foreigners was planned, to create the political backlash that brought Trump back to the White House, so that he (an “America first” conservative) could preside over the implementation of a police state for Americans – who’ll be easy putty in his hands after the dollar crashes and they no longer have to worry so much about the Me Gustans as they do about finding food.
The congruence smells suspicious. Probably because it is. To reiterate: Not only isn’t it credible that Trump is this stupid – politically – it is not credible that all around him are also this stupid, politically. Even toadies know there is a time to stop toadying. The fact that none of them are stopping says something is up. That they are all on the same page. It is a page we’re not allowed to read, of course.
Not until the plan is already played out.
