OpusClip uses ai to create video shorts (aka "viral clips") from long videos. Wanting to create YouTube shorts for Stateless Standard in a quick and easy way, I naturally signed up.

About 15-20 minutes later, I was almost out of credits.

Huh?

Opus began pulling my entire channel, until it quickly used up my credits. I had just signed up and was almost out of credits? Wtf is going on?

I contacted customer service (which isn't easy) and they offered me a refund. A bummer, but not a big deal. I accepted.

Haven't heard from them since.

No refund. No response. Zip. Zero. Nada. Nothing.

They do not respond at all. I've tried a ridiculous amount of times too.

Crickets...

It's obvious there will be no refund.

Ever since the fake pandemic, I've noticed a considerable decline in customer service. Everywhere, across the board, all industries and services.

Bad customer service is a personal pet peeve of mine. It's unnecessary, stupid and causes problems for everyone involved. Problems that didn’t need to exist.

Ghosting a customer is inexcusable.

OpusClip took a minor, fixable problem, and chose to burn bridges instead. This kind of stupidity is eventually going to make my head explode! I almost expect it now.

"Simple Ways to Burn Bridges with Customers" is something they must teach. It’s not natural. Probably a variant of Critical Theory.

I have no opinion on the actual product, because I only got to use it for a few minutes. Maybe it's good... who knows?

But I can tell you for a fact that OpuClips customer service is absolute bottom of the barrel garbage. They ghosted me in the middle of a conversation! Then refused to respond.

Rude, stupid and horrible.

I learned the hard way. Don't be me. Avoid OpusClips like the plague.

Burning your money would be a far better choice.
