What Capitalism? Where?

Hating on free markets has become a bipartisan affair these days. Personally, I'm curious as to where all this capitalism is taking place. Because there certainly isn't any free market capitalism going on in the United States of America.

Let's start with the obvious, the central bank. The Federal Reserve is just like the old Soviet Politburo - it's the de facto highest financial authority with a total monopoly on money. In other words, the American economy's circulatory system is straight-up Karl Marx.

The state confiscates a significant amount of a workers income, prior to the worker receiving their pay too. Again, this is not freedom, nor capitalism. It is Marxism.

Nothing in America goes unmolested by government. Food, transportation, employment, healthcare, trade, etc.... all fettered by the gruby hands of the state. To open a small business today, costs a fortune in government "fees" and whatnot, deliberately kept high to keep all but the wealthiest out.

In the words of Benito Mussolini himself:

All within the State, nothing outside the State, nothing against the State.

Sound familiar?

We've experienced mind-blowing advances in productivity, yet today, a two-income family cannot afford what one earner could easily pay for before...

That's not progress.

That’s not freedom.

That's just plain stupid.

Amazing gains, eaten away by inflation and the ever-growing cost of a know-nothing bureaucracy.

FACT: the Nazis and Fascists Loved FDR.

Mixed, mercantilist, crony, fascist, autarky, these words all make sense. But capitalism? Not a freaking chance.

If you don't like what's going in this country right now, you don’t like the outcome of government control. To blame the free market. is to blame a ghost.
